Our Journey “Across the Universe”
WOW! Amber and I had the absolute pleasure of seeing “Across the Universe” this weekend. If you don’t know what it is, it’s no real surprise as it’s been a limited release w/ an apparent small marketing budget. But in short it’s a Musical (No No.. don’t stop there, keep reading) that is set to Beatles music. On it’s surface it has a huge potential to SUCK, but actually turns out to be the best and most-enjoyable movie we’ve seen in recent memory. The Music was amazing, the story compelling (if somewhat predictable) and the visuals a faithful tribute to The Beatles. Excellent cameos from Bono and Eddie Izzard top off a excellent enjoyable movie. Go see it - thank me later.

Sirj and I saw it too. We loved it. I think I enjoyed it more than he did. I felt the story was well written and added meaning to songs I knew, but were just songs. I know Sirj may not feel the same because he knows the background of those songs and they were used different then written. I loved the story! And Eddie.. oh Eddie was just icing!
