It’s a Fire!… sale… Everyone run! It’s a Fire… sale.

A few weeks back Monica set the theme for PSS. 

“Your house, containing everything you own, catches fire; after saving your loved ones, you have time to safely make a final dash to save any ONE item. What would it be?”

I’ve been lazy in leaving it unanswered.  This is partly because I’ve been busy, but mostly because I really did not have a good answer to this question.  I’ve been looking around my house and thinking about what I’d try to save if, as the theme suggest 1) all my loved ones are safe and 2) I run no risk by returning to grab this one item.  In truth I would not return to my house for anything.  I wouldn’t risk leaving my wife without a husbane or my kids without a father.  Nothing is worth putting that burden on them.  However, It think the question is designed to get at the physical item I treasure the most and would have the most difficulty replacing.  Our photos are all backed-up online so they can burn.  Our music is all online as well.. those can fry with little concern for loss.  Our documents, I guess should be in a fireproof safe, but again there is nothing irreplacable there.  I guess we are better prepared for a fire than I expected.
